About Us

Healing happens outside the classroom.

Men working together on the ranch

Our approach is simple: we believe that physical labor, craftsmanship, and caring for living things can completely transform a young person's life. We established this hilltop sanctuary amidst olive trees and rolling rocky valleys because we saw too many teens struggling in traditional classroom or office environments who needed open space to breathe and real, tangible projects to focus on.

Here, we build the ranch together. From pouring concrete stable paths and framing cabin walls to laying floor tiles and finishing woodwork with traditional Shou Sugi Ban (charred wood blowtorching), the boys engage in professional vocational trades. Alongside mentors, they discover their potential through real building projects and the daily care of our horses and livestock flock.

Who We Serve

We work with young men who have lost their way, struggled in standard school systems, or are dealing with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. By stepping into a structured ranch environment and learning to care for newborn lambs or handle a horse, they drop their defenses. Here, the focus isn't on clinical lectures, but on collaborative work, horizontal peer support, and learning to trust themselves and others.

Our Values

  • Growth through Craft: Physical trades like welding, carpentry, and masonry give youth a sense of capability they can see, touch, and take pride in.
  • Empathy in Stewardship: Caring for sheep, goats, and horses in our arched livestock barns teaches patience, self-regulation, and gentle responsibility.
  • Hilltop Community: No one works or heals in isolation. We eat, talk, and reflect together on our large deck pergola overlooking the valleys, building bonds of trust and mutual accountability.
